I took my Dodge Dakota to these guys do to some slipping in the transmission and check engine light and then the transmission overheat light. They pulled the transmission apart and went over every single detail with me from how the transmission works to every part that was burnt up and needed replaced. The gentleman behind the counter is Nick. He went over every single detail with me about financing and what needed to be replaced. Transmissions are not cheap. I highly suggest keeping up on your maintenance. Nick helped me out with a dropping the price down as much as he could. I am extremely satisfied with the customer service and the work that was done on the transmission. “I trust AAMCO Transmissions Lemon Grove to take care of my car problems. They do nothing but get better each time I am there. In 2011 there was a change of ownership that brought both Nick Chase and Greg McBride to man the customer service counter. When they work you up an estimate for repair they will usually offer you several options which is always good for someone like me on a tight budget. Their master mechanic Kevin makes sure to do a final quality inspection on each and every car repair. Don't fool yourself into thinking AAMCO Lemon Grove only does transmission work. Over the years I have had work on my fuel system, cooling, electrical, shocks, as well as my transmission. With my shocks they were lifetime shocks that had been purchased at another shop in 2003. Since then that shop went out of business. Nick was able to take care of replacing all my shocks for just the cost of labor. I had been to another shop that will remain nameless that told me that to do the same work would cost more, and I would be charged a premium for them to do the parts as well or I could go to the manufacture myself. No you can not beat service like that. On other parts that I have had installed over the years my price out the door has always been competitive. I can trust AAMCO Lemon Grove to always be fast courteous and to keep me informed as to the progress of work on my car.
