“I have a 2003 Corvette....about 5 years ago, I took it to a well know " lube garage" to have the oil changed. Thinking I was doing a good thing for my vehicle, I let the technician talk me into a transmission flush. Unbeknownst to me, they failed to refill the fluids in the transmission and sent me on my way. The following day, my car would not move. My husband had it towed to Todd AT AAMCO. They rebuilt my transmission and I have been their devoted client ever since. The lube shop did eventually pay us back for their incompetence. I take my car in for oil changes and any other maintenance to AAMCO. I now have 103,000 miles on my little red Corvette and my engine light came on last week....they replaced gaskets and it's back on the road. Last year, my signal lights kept popping out. Chris at AAMCO researched the problem and found that the running lights were on constantly (a design flaw) and the plastic behind them had melted, so every time I got a car wash or it rained, the water would get in and the lights would blow out. Chris fixed them and I have had no problems ever since. I am a 72 year old lady and I need to rely on the people who service our vehicles. I rely on Todd and Chris at AAMCO. I trust you too, will have the same great experience!”

“I had to take my Acura MDX into AAMCO because of a torque converter issue I had. I'm new to the El Cajon area, and don't have a mechanic that i'm familiar with. When I had the vehicle towed I asked who they would recommend, and the driver said AAMCO. I'm glad he did. Todd from AAMCO called me when the vehicle arrived at the shop. He asked me questions about what had happened to the car, what had failed, and how long it had been going on. They treated me professionally, were empathetic to my situation, and assured me they could get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Todd was friendly, invited me down to the shop any time to see my vehicle being worked on. My mechanic Kevin, explained in great length what caused the components inside the vehicle to fail. They answered my questions, and didn't mind me watching as they worked. I note all of these things because this hasn't always been my experience in working with mechanic shops in the past. I'm hoping I don't have another issue with my MDX, but i'm sure I will look to AAMCO for servicing my vehicle in the future.”

“My rear transmission went out on my 2003 Mitsubishi Spyder convertible. Several people told us we would need to replace the transmission. We took the car into Fabian at AAMCO Tranmission and they checked it out and were able to replace parts without replacing the whole transmission! While they had the transmission out they found a cracked clutch plate (pretty important) and so fixed that as well. Their service was timely, communication with us great all along the way and the car drives great now after. I am very pleased and will return. I recommend them to others. Fabian, the owner, is so personable and honest and he has a great crew!”
